'09 Rieslings from Australia's icon vineyard - Pewsey Vale - capture Winsor 23 May 2010 Pewsey Vale Riesling 2009 [Eden Valley]
"The high-altitude Pewsey Vale vineyard in the Eden Valley was first planted in 1847 and produces wine that have immense citrus flavours and high in natural acidity. This is a fresh and vibrant wine which is relatively low in alcohol, bone dry, textured and very stylish. More mature rieslings are released under The Contours label. Drink with char-grilled vegetable and chevre tarts."

Pewsey Vale Prima Riesling 2009 [Eden Valley]
"Pewsey Vale, with vineyards high in South Australia's Eden Valley, is at the vanguard of the trend towards rieslings that are slightly sweeter than the norm - made in a Germanic style. The grapes for this were picked four weeks before the rest of the vineyard and the wine made in an off-dry style with lower alcohol levels at just 9.5 per cent. It is an aromatic and lively wine with gorgeous freshness, hints of tropical fruit flavours and spice, and mineral acidity on the finish. A vibrant, refreshing wine that would be great with pates and terrines."
