Eden Valley Riesling

The 2000-2001 growing season in the Eden Valley was a season where everything went right. Much needed winter and spring rains in 2000 filled the soil with water, and the vines started their growing season in perfect conditions. Flowering occurred evenly and quickly and was followed by a warm and dry ripening period. Harvest was under way by the 10th March, and the balmy Indian Summer ensured that each parcel of fruit was harvested at the ideal point of ripeness - the last being picked on the 3rd April.
