 | Pinot Gris Good rains for the beginning of the 04/05 growing season predicted a good vintage. By mid January the skies had cleared and no subsequent rain, combined with balmy temperatures for the remainder of the season, meant that flavours ripened over an even and long period. The result is white wines with excellent intensity of flavour and structure.
Pewsey Vale Pinot Gris 2005 is pale straw in colour with lively green hues. Aromas of spicy biscotti and apple blossom fragrance are enhanced by a hint of funky apricot kernel on the nose. The flavours of this wine are reminiscent of crunchy crab-apple and pear, with smoky rich textures and a long, fresh finish.
