Prima Riesling

The 2019 Pewsey Vale Prima Riesling exhibits the purity of style that we continue to see in all of the vintages we have made of this wine. Very pale in colour with green hues; the aroma has hints of the classic Pewsey Vale Riesling characters but is most redolent of white cherries, nectarines and lychees. The palate shows great intensity, length and finesse with a vibrancy of perfumed fruits such as guava and mandarin overlaid with a touch of white cherry, sorbet and clove. The wine is succulent, mouth-watering and will cellar well, slowly developing layers of fresh toast and spice.

Try with a green papaya salad, Thai fish cakes and lime wedges or poached apples with lemongrass and ginger.

Riesling

Pale straw with green hues. Intense aromas of fine dried herbs, white flowers, lemon and lime. A long and rich palate, reminiscent of grapefruit, lime and fresh rosemary. The wine finishes with a soft natural acidity which balances the flavour and minerality that is delicious now or will reward medium to long-term cellaring.

Enjoy with fresh oysters, seared scallops, salt and pepper squid, Thai beef salad, or a tomato salad with pickled walnuts and fresh basil.

Contours

Produced from old vines farmed on the coolest slope. Bottle ageing for five years before release transforms fresh lemon and floral aromatics into a complex wine of limes and brioche. Further richness and complexity will accumulate over future decades.

Pale straw in colour with green hues. Intense classic lemon fruit aromas, with a hint of white flowers. Bottle aged characters of toast, clove oil and lemongrass emerge and combine with the still fresh citrus and white flowers of its youth. The palate has great length and depth with concentrated power and fresh, pristine lime juice overlaid with toasted brioche, sage oil and lime marmalade. The wine finishes with soft, refreshing natural acidity. Released in 2020 after 5 years of bottle age, this wine will continue to age gracefully for many years.

Enjoy with duck breast and five spice glaze or tofu pad Thai with fresh lime wedges.

1961 Block Riesling

This wine is pristine with aromas and flavours of lemon myrtle and tea tree blossom. With crushed quartz minerality, it is evocative, seamless and ageless. The wine shows great tautness and line as a young wine that will delight early drinkers as well as those who put it in the cellar.

Enjoy with kingfish sashimi and chillu lime dressing, or vegetable spring rolls with Vietnamese herbs.
